Tahoe Skier’s love Squaw Valley. The saying goes “Come for the winters and stay for the summer” . Squaw Valley was the home of the 1960 Winter Olympics and this community loves skiing! The valley has cross-country skiing , along with plenty of extreme skiing on the mountain. Many of the locals have been here since the Olympics and never left. The love of skiing is why most people choose this community, but there are some new areas of this community with some absolutely beautiful homes. As they say… They came for the winters and stayed for the summer!
Hidden Lake: Located on the North side of the Valley, this gated community has a private lake that is wonderful for Ice-skating in the winter and swimming and fishing in the summer. The Community gets plenty of sun and is close to the base of the mountain. Since it is a small community most everyone knows one another. Lots and newly build custom high end homes are available.
Squaw Creek Estates/Resort @ Squaw Creek: Located on the south side of the valley above the resort at Squaw Creek this community of Custom-Built homes affords beautiful views of Granite Chief and the Squaw Valley Ski Area. There is an exclusive membership available that allows owners the use of the Resort’s Spa, Golf Course, Tennis Courts, Ski Locker Room and other facilities.
Painted Rock Located on the North/East side of the Valley: This area has plenty of sunshine.
