Have a home in Tahoe and want to stay away from the crowds for now? Well look no further than cross country skiing! Many places around Tahoe offer this activity. It's a great way to get exercise and see parts of Tahoe not normally seen by people. Here are some locations in no particular order:

Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park - XC (Cross-country) skiing, fishing, hiking, camping, and a Nature Center (when open).

Royal Gorge XC Ski Resort - North America's largest XC resort. Snow shoeing also available and some are dog friendly!

Tahoe XC Ski Area - Located on the north shore of Tahoe, also has some available trails to bring your dog on.

Tahoe Donner XC Ski Center - Voted the Best Cross Country Center in North Lake Tahoe & Truckee by the Sierra Sun for 5 years running!

North Tahoe Regional Park Nordic Ski Area - Lots of activities here including a dog park!

Resort at Squaw Creek - XC Skiing right out the back door of your hotel!

Northstar XC Center - Get a whole new view of one of the best mountains in Tahoe.
