With much of the fire contained, smoke clearing from the air and communities returning home, we can all finally breathe a sigh of relief. We can't thank our Fire departments and local officials enough for risking their lives and handling this disastrous situation as well as they did. Now we begin the process of assessing the damage and rebuilding that which was lost. If you or someone you know has been a victim of these fires please know that El Dorado County officials have launched a Caldor Fire Recovery page to help those impacted by the fire with links for assistance on everything from Insurance info, Animal Care, Debris Removal and Rebuilding. I hope you all have stayed safe during this troubling time and we are looking forward to cooler, clearer fall and winter months to come.
